This is the big media mention I teased a few days ago. It’s an unbelievable write-up and a crazy video, both discussing me and the book. They even sent a photographer to my house to take shots of me for the piece. Too bad they didn’t use one of the many with Bella in it.

Wow! What an amazing pair! Not Jennifer Lawrence…I’m talking about the article and the video. That write up was spectacular. It makes me want to go out and buy yet another copy of Wool.

I am just off to my monthly book club and I will be trying hard to get you on our reading list. Your book was a wonderful summer read. I loved the characters and the community in which they lived. I couldn’t put the book down. I have just realised reading your website you have more for me to read over this coming weekend. yAY . I hope you make a motza, sell millions of books and don’t forget to to find time to write more.

If there could be any improvement.. I wish it would have concentrated more on the risks you had to take as well as all the work and dedication involved. The “missing” story is twofold: 1: the rapidity of success as well as the incredulity of it… framed by self-doubt and fear. and 2: the critical supportive role that Bella played (and, uh hum, also Amber).

Just read the Wool series in the last 2 days. It was fantastic! I love seeing the shift in traditional publishing that writers like you are causing. It was time for a change. Thank you for many enjoyable hours!
OK, so I’m reading Friday’s paper on Monday, you can’t imagine my surprise when I saw Hugh Howey’s name on the front page. I thought, it can’t be, but it has to be, and there you are, a color picture no less in a black and white paper. Congratulations Hugh!! You were finishing up Molly Fyde last I heard, wow, hard work, determination, an American success story, and it couldn’t have happened to more down to earth good guy. First of all I would like to say superb blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I have had a hard time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there. I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or hints? Kudos!
