What? You haven't written a review for Amazon? Are you trying to keep all the Molly goodness to yourself?!
It doesn't have to be a prize-winning review, just a casual chat about what you thought of the read. Relax. Write what comes to mind. Add some tags and search strings, maybe a discussion post or two.
The only way to brag about how “early in the game” you were is if the game gets big enough for people to care!

I had the great fortune of reading an early draft of this novel. Early-draft warts and all, I couldn't put it down. I couldn't even pause long enough to grumble about common grammatical errors and language-choice blunders–the story was just that compelling. Months later, the final retains the likable characters, the nonstop action, the incredible pan-galactic locales, and the deft handling of moral, ethical, and philosophical issues that some would like to see relegated to an easy “black or white.” Give this book to the teens in your life or, if you're a sci fi fan, read it yourself, no matter your age. If you can't find something in Molly Fyde to like, then you might want to check with your physician…you might not be human after all.
I’ll start by saying, “Wow!”This book does everything a great book should do!The story piques your curiosity from the start and it takes you on a journey that causes you to loose track of time and the world around you.Instead, you become an invisible member of the crew of Parsona.I read the book in less than twenty-four hours because I just couldn’t put it down until I knew how it ended!
The characters in the story all have traits that every person can relate to on some level. They each grow as the story progresses and you find yourself wondering what you would do in the situations they find themselves in.
One of the things I enjoyed most was the fact that this book gives you just enough detail to allow your imagination to form an amazing mental image of the people and places that are encountered. You really find yourself right in the midst of all the adventure.
For those of you who are skeptical because it’s listed as science-fiction, don’t be.It has the things that sci-fi readers enjoy, but they are developed and described in ways that don’t make those of us who aren’t science fiction fans get lost in technical terms or other ‘space jargon’.Both types of readers will be pleased.
Bottom line:This book will be enjoyed by any reader, man or woman, adult or child, sci-fi lover or not.

This book grabs the reader from the first page. It was an impossible tale to put down with one cliff-hanger after another propelling readers toward the end and clamoring for the next in the series. I'm not a big fan of science fiction yet I found myself loving Molly's adventures through life and space. I think it is because the author spends lots of time on character development and story line. I loved the little details about the life and cultures of each place Molly and her crew visited – I felt like I was there. It's not often that a book with teenage characters has a grown woman laughing out loud in some places and tearing up in others. Even stranger, there were times I found myself pausing to contemplate some deep philosophical issue – and enjoying it. This is a great read – the first time through the third. It's one of those books you can read for pure entertainment OR for the deeper life lessons. I can't recommend it strongly enough.

A rip-roaring space epic in the classic style!, September 20, 2009
I approached this book for several reasons: I like science fiction, I like young adult literature, I vaguely knew the author via the internet, and a couple of friends were waxing rhapsodic over it. So I made the leap, and I'm so glad I did.
What struck me throughout was the authenticity of Molly's voice; I wonder how Mr. Howey so perfectly envisioned the thoughts, fears, and daydreams of a teen-aged girl? Did he spy on his sister's slumber parties, perhaps?? Whatever the mechanism, he certainly captured Molly's essence, and made her come alive for this reader right from the start.
The story is largely original, and unfurls for us in perfect time as we streak across the heavens trying (in vain) to unravel the mystery ahead of Molly and her crew. Much of the feel of this work evokes Star Wars for me — the novels even more than the films. There are many specific similarities, and the overall tone of a rollicking space-opera serial is spot on, as well. The ending made my jaw drop and then made me laugh out loud with its perfect serial cliff-hanger, too. Well done.
Overall, a great read. Fun, intelligent, and well-written: a treat for both teens and adults — perhaps a book to share in your family? I am looking forward to the sequel, though patience is not my strong suit.
Here is my amazon review… looking back – I was so excited to write it that I didn't put in a lot of detail – Sorry!!
Before I read this book, I worried that I would not be able to recommend it to any of my fellow readers who did not read SciFi. I couldn't have been more wrong. So anyone thinking of not getting this book because it is classified as SciFi, rethink!
This story resonated very well with me. It captured my attention, kept me enthralled and left me wanting more! So now, I am patiently (not really) waiting for the next book to come out!
Hugh Howey did a great job with the characters and situations he put them in – I could visualize what they were going through. Great Book!
The only detail that mattered is that you loved it!
I hope people that normally aren't into SF give the book a chance. I hate it when people judge a person by the face they're wearing. Wait, that's not right… I hate it when people ponder the depth by what's on the surface. Damn, that isn't it either. Isn't there a good metaphor for judging a book soley based on its cover? How the hell does that go, again?

Hugh sets you right down in an amazing future that you could actually believe that would exist. This story has it all Action, Mystery, Romance, and Suspense. I read the first novel, “Molly Fyde and the Persona Rescue” and fell in love with the characters. The characters are written beautifully, emanating real people that you hope exists in the future.
I picked up the first book and could not put it down until I finished the book. I could not wait until the next book was out because of the way Hugh ended the first book. I bought `Molly Fyde and the Land of Light” when it came out and I could not put it down until I finished reading the whole second book.
This book was brilliantly written and Hugh set me back into the future without a time machine, watching from all the characters viewpoints. Hugh really is a gifted writer and I will continue the adventure in the next book, which I may add that I can't wait to buy and open the cover and be shot back into the amazing future he created.
