Thank you, voters!

WOOL placed second in the GoodReads Choice Awards yesterday thanks to your efforts. It was amazing to be included with the other finalists. I can’t believe WOOL garnered enough votes to stand tall with the masters of the genre, men and women that I look up to. So thank you for taking the time to vote and for spreading the word. And congratulations to all the winners in every category!

You more than deserve it, Hugh!

  2. WOOT!!! Yay! Get out the balloons! May the Force be with you! Live long and prosper! YAY!

Congrats to both you and Terry Pratchett, two wonderful authors who know exactly how to do things so that everybody’s happy, or the alternative, bashing their heads into metaphorical brick walls wondering what the heck’s going to happen next. :)

  3. Congratulations, Hugh! That’s a merit of a great book =) And it keeps getting pointy: http://www.goodreads.com/book/stats/13453029-wool-omnibus

  4. Congrats. And also congrats on your rating for author and horror!

  5. Congrats Hugh, very cool.

    however…
you were robbed. your book is better :)

    1. Yes! So absolutely right.

  6. I think you deserve first place. Honestly. I was disappointed. You are THE BEST!

    1. I felt the same way. I think when people look back in a few years, things might be different. Still, not a bad author to place second behind.
In other news, bought Molly Fyde for my niece for Christmas. I am sure she will love it!

  7. You earned it Hugh! You’re a master! Everyone I’ve talked to that has read your work raves about your writing and storytelling. I’m so glad my co-worker, who’s very picky with his fiction by the way, told me about how awesome you are and that you’ll be writing for decades to come! I can’t wait to read every story. Congrats!

  8. I have to say I am pretty disappointed in the results. None of the ones I voted for won. Still, I am glad that you still did well even though you didn’t win.

  9. I did not read a better book than Wool last year. It was not only best in genre, but it also won the all-around. Congratulations and PLEASE release the next Shift book soon!!!
